One night in January 1975,Bill Gates was playing cards with some friends at Harvar University. He was nineteen years old and he was studying law, but his first love was computers. Suddenly his friend Paul Allen rushed into the room with a computer magazine, and it had the picture of a new computer the Altair, that was the world's first personal computer.
Bill and Paul both loved the computers.
In 1975 the computers industry was completely controled by the IBM.
Bill and Paul thinked that the Altair could need some software so theywrote a program.
When bill left Harvard he and Paul maked a company. The realized that even small computers "micro computers" could need software. So they called their company Microsoft.
In that moment the computers big success was the Apple Computer. Apple Computers was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.
